TUFF GUAC

Nadat hij ervaring opdeed met verschillende garagepunkbands in de underground scene, ontstond de drang om melodieuzere popmuziek te maken. Zo kwam het debuutalbum “Green and Handsome” tot leven. Een galmgulzig garagepop album boordevol catchy meezingers. Rafael nam de plaat alleen op in een verlaten huis met behulp van wat instrumenten, een taperecorder en een handvol microfoons.

Achteraf kroop hij met Wim De Busser (The Colorist Orchestra, Zita Swoon, Helmut Lotti …), Jasper Suys en Gert-Jan Van Damme (Jerry Lada) in het repetitiekot en groeide Tuff Guac uit tot een live sensatie waar dansbaarheid en rock-'n-roll zich mooi vinden. Met deze originele mix raakte Tuff Guac onder andere in de finale van Humo’s Rock Rally 2022 en gaan ze binnenkort op Europese tournee.

A reverb-heavy garage pop album packed with catchy sing-alongs. Rafael recorded the record alone in an abandoned house using some instruments, a tape recorder and a handful of microphones.

Afterwards, he crawled into the rehearsal room with Wim De Busser (The Colorist Orchestra, Zita Swoon, Helmut Lotti ...), Jasper Suys and Gert-Jan Van Damme (Jerry Lada) and Tuff Guac grew into a live sensation where danceability and rock 'n' roll find themselves nicely. With this original mix, Tuff Guac hit the finals of Humo's Rock Rally 2022, among others, and will soon go on a European tour.
