TEUN

TEUN werd geboren in Maastricht en woont momenteel in Antwerpen. Ze groeide op in een creatieve smeltkroes, altijd omringd door muziek en instrumenten. Op 9-jarige leeftijd begon TEUN haar eigen liedjes te schrijven, die ze componeerde op de piano in de woonkamer.

Tijdens de middelbare school bereidde TEUN zich voor om naar een academische dansacademie te gaan, waarvoor ze op 15-jarige leeftijd op zichzelf naar Tilburg verhuisde. Ze stopte nooit met het schrijven van liedjes en na het afronden van haar middelbare dansopleiding volgde ze haar hart. In plaats van een danscarrière na te streven, verhuisde ze naar Antwerpen om haar muzikale aspiraties te voeden.

In plaats van verschillende liedjes uit te brengen, werkte TEUN samen met enkele gevestigde namen in de industrie om haar grotere plaatje op te bouwen. In 2022 begon ze met Eefje de Visser te touren als danseres en achtergrondzangeres op verschillende grote festivals en maakt nu deel uit van haar vaste band. Tijdens deze tour ontmoette ze producer Daan Schepers (Bazart, Eefje de Visser, High Hi), met wie ze samenwerkte om haar muziek te gieten in een debuut-EP.

Ze slaagden erin haar persoonlijke groei en zelfontwikkelingsreis vast te leggen door middel van betoverende elektronica en diep melancholische liedjes. TEUN voelt zich voor altijd geïnspireerd door artiesten zoals Lana del Rey, Robyn en Solange.

TEUN est née à Maastricht et vit actuellement à Anvers. Elle a grandi dans un creuset créatif, toujours entourée de musique et d'instruments. À l'âge de 9 ans, TEUN a commencé à écrire ses propres chansons, qu'elle composait sur le piano du salon.

Pendant le lycée, TEUN s'est préparée à intégrer une académie de danse académique, pour laquelle elle a déménagé seule à Tilburg à 15 ans. Elle n'a jamais cessé d'écrire des chansons et, après avoir terminé son cursus de danse au lycée, elle a suivi son cœur. Au lieu de poursuivre une carrière de danseuse, elle a déménagé à Anvers pour nourrir ses aspirations musicales.

Plutôt que de sortir des chansons différentes, TEUN a collaboré avec des noms établis de l'industrie pour construire son projet global. En 2022, elle a commencé à tourner avec Eefje de Visser en tant que danseuse et choriste dans plusieurs grands festivals et fait maintenant partie de son groupe fixe. Lors de cette tournée, elle a rencontré le producteur Daan Schepers (Bazart, Eefje de Visser, High Hi), avec qui elle a collaboré pour mettre sa musique dans un premier EP.

Ils ont réussi à capturer sa croissance personnelle et son parcours de développement personnel à travers des électroniques envoûtantes et des chansons profondément mélancoliques. TEUN se sent toujours inspirée par des artistes tels que Lana del Rey, Robyn et Solange.

TEUN was born in Maastricht and currently lives in Antwerp. She grew up in a creative melting pot, always surrounded by music and instruments. At the age of 9 TEUN started writing her own songs, which she composed on the piano in the living room.

During high school TEUN prepared to attend an academic dance academy, for which she, at 15, moved to Tilburg on her own. She never stopped writing songs, and upon finishing her high school dance course, she followed her heart. Instead of pursuing a dance career, she moved to Antwerp to feed her aspirations in music.

Rather than releasing different songs, TEUN partnered with some established names in the industry to build her bigger picture. In 2022 she started touring with Eefje de Visser as a dancer & backing singer at several big festivals and is now part of her fixed band. During this tour she met producer Daan Schepers (Bazart, Eefje de Visser, High Hi), with whom she teamed up to pour her music into a debut EP.

They managed to capture her personal growth and self-development journey through mesmerizing electronics and deeply melancholic songs. TEUN feels forever inspired by artists such as Lana del Rey, Robyn and Solange.
