POLAROID FICTION

Polaroid Fiction – trio, gemiddelde leeftijd 21, flirtend met futuristisch gitaarwerk, knallende elektronische drums en funky synthesizers. De toekomst is tastbaar, het heden wordt door de mangel gehaald en het verleden is nog net zichtbaar in de achteruitkijkspiegel. Dat klinkt als: alternatieve rock en indie besmet met synthpop, nu-funk en hip hop.

In november 2014 ziet de tweede Polaroid Fiction EP het levenslicht. ‘FP’ werd geproducet door Tim Vanhamel en Niels Hendrix. Klankenwizard Micha Volders stond in voor de mix en Uwe Teichert deed de mastering. De release is in handen van FONS Records, dat deel uitmaakt van PIAS/Rough Trade Distribution.

‘FP’ is een eerbetoon aan Florent Pevée (1991 - 2013), jeugdvriend, frontman van Kabul Golf Club en broer van Polaroid Fiction drummer Simon.

Wouter Souvereyns, Lesley Troquet et Simon Pevée, tous nés à Tongres, donnent naissance à Polaroid Fiction en 2011. La même année, Polaroid Fiction gagne Limbomania (un concours musical flamand) et, à partir de ce moment, le groupe devient ‘artist in residence’ au Muziekodroom de Hasselt. Une batterie puissante, des basses lourdes accompagnées de guitares catchy, des mélodies énergiques et mélodiques. Un mélange de nombreux sons qui résonne comme Polaroid Fiction. La musique est prête, donc attendez-vous à un album sous peu!

After winning Limbomania in 2011 they played over 60 club and festival performances with Pukkelpop 2013 being one of the highlights, released a 4-song EP and had more than 8 weeks airplay on Belgian national radio Studio Brussels with their single Satisfied.
2014 Sonic team Tim Vanhamel, Micha Volders and Niels Hendrix are combining knob wizardry for production, mixing and recording of Polaroid's to be released debut album.
